Subtle flavours and carefully selected traditional botanicals, herbs & spices to create a delicious and authentic taste of the Highlands. Our small, independent distillery looks over the beautiful hamlet of Badachro in the north-west of the Scottish Highlands, with views to the west over to Skye. This is where we produce our exquisite and rare whiskies, gins and vodka.
Guided walking which includes up the hill of Cul Mor to give some of the most incredible views in Assynt, acending Beinn Eighe, one of the Torridon giants, via one of the most impressive corries in Scotland.
We also have a huge variety of lower level walks which will allow you to experience the amazing environment of the Highlands, in a less committing day out.
Gairloch Museum is located in a stunning building - a former nuclear bunker with views down Loch Gairloch. Displays include the original lens from Rubh Re lighthouse, a replica croft house showing how people used to live and an interactive gallery about our magnificent natural world, midges and all!
We can arrange many of the local activities for you golf, fishing, whale watching trips, pony trekking, distillery tours, falconry, canoeing, kayaking, and much more.
Otters Retreat is located in a quiet and peaceful setting, just a few minutes' walk from the beach. The beach is clean and safe, ideal for various water activities such as kayaking, swimming, and windsurfing, paddle boarding, sailing. It is an ideal base for exploring the north west Highlands, with beautiful views of the Torridon mountain range, the magnificent Cuillins on Isle of Skye, and Outer Hebrides from the front of our home.
